Although I primarily work with nonprofits, I do have some clients in the massage and health care industry. One of those is a massage therapist based in Boise Idaho. Justin Kobbe Solace provides massage therapy and corrective exercise for the Boise area. He also teaches continuing education classes to massage therapists.
Website Goals
They wanted a clean, professional look with a fixed “Book Now” button. There is also a pop up that activates as you scroll midway down the page. They didn’t want the pop up to fire immediately but felt that if a reader was interested enough to read through the information, they would be interested in joining the email list. The popup uses cookies so that it only fires the first time you visit a page and won’t reset for several days. This way, a visitor won’t be getting the popup every time they visit a page.
They’ve had tremendous success with their clients and they wanted to highlight their client testimonials to demonstrate how effective their work is.
They also wanted to embed videos and links for resources for visitors and they wanted their continuing education classes featured on a page that includes links to signups.
Every page has a fixed “Book Now” button to make it easy to book an appointment. The button has a bit of animation that attracts attention without interfering with the website viewing experience.
And, of course, the website is fully responsive so it looks great on every device.
The home page also features the name of the services with a roll over effect that describes what the service is. We used high quality photos for the home page section backgrounds.
Positive Response
The client has had many positive responses to the redesign and the re-organization of some of the content. Things are easier to find, the pop ups are working without being annoying, and the book now button makes it easy to book an appointment.
